Information you provide
The symptom checker uses predefined selections in your browser. The initial version does not ask for your name, address, exact location, photograph, or free-text description, and it does not create a personal diagnosis history.
If you email DrainPath, the operator receives the address, content, and metadata normally included with an email. Do not send sensitive personal or health information.
Technical data
Hosting providers may process ordinary request data such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, timestamp, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. DrainPath will document any analytics introduced before enabling them.
Analytics and advertising
When configured, DrainPath uses Google Analytics only after a visitor chooses “Allow analytics.” It measures page visits and coarse product events such as whether the symptom checker was started, completed, its service brief was copied, or a labeled affiliate product link was followed. Individual question answers, the generated service brief, names, email addresses, photographs, and exact addresses are not sent to Analytics. Analytics can be declined or changed through the “Analytics choices” control.
Display advertising is not currently enabled. DrainPath does use clearly labeled contextual affiliate links. Following one takes you to the retailer, which processes the visit under its own privacy terms. DrainPath does not place affiliate links in safety-stop results.
Cookies
DrainPath does not load Google Analytics until a visitor allows it. The choice is stored in the browser so it can be remembered. Essential hosting or security technologies may still be used to deliver and protect the site.
Sharing and sale
DrainPath does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers needed to host, secure, measure, or operate the site, subject to their terms and the configuration described here.
